Learn 1 Slang per day
Brilliant Winter is making a cool series where you can learn some Thai Slangs.. one per day as she is posting this stuff almost on a daily base. Here are a couple of them archived for future reference
บักคัก = bak-kak = plentiful(มากมาย = mākmāi)
Tom Niranam had the following to mention “บะลักคัก” but according to Brilliant Winter it is kinda like the same as บักคัก!
จูจุ๊บ = joojoob = kiss (จูบ=joob)
I added myself that mispronouncing จู could be funny as this has a different meaning. I leave it up to your imagination why that is!
ซับโบร๋ = sap – brô = hello (สวัสดี = sawasdee)
This one comes from the ‘sup bro teenager slang in English, not much to say really. Just try it one time with your close teenager friends to see how it pans out.
ป๊อด = pøt = chicken out
To chicken out..
วื่นวือ = wēun whēu = can not call one’s time one’s own, very busy
To be very busy/occupied
1. ดึ่มดึ๋ย = deum deuy = be foolish
2. จีซัส = Jesus = we use “Jesus” for call only the handsome man.
2 slangs this time. I never heard Jesus myself but according to the discussion that followed it is pretty legit.
บูยาเก้ = boo-yaa-ke = gaylord
1. กาก = kak = garbage
2. กาก (slang) = vain, stuff and nonsense
Also used for n00b, nub etcetera.
เกรียน (1) slang word = grean = troll in the cyber world,
เกรียน (2) = grean = very short
I am sure you want a link to the facebook but really, there are just too many of ’em so click here and find a lot of interesting posts! And again reading this in Thai script might be better than trying to get this done with the transliteration only. Part II coming later when more slangs have been uploaded by Brilliant Winter!
